Sketch for all!

A quick post for today ...lots of jobs to do today! I like to have my house clean and tidy to welcome the New Year! Bit sad eh?? We also have friends coming round for a roast tomorrow so have to get that all sorted!
Is there anyone else like me, that once Christmas is past likes to just put all the decorations away? Well, the tree is going away this afternoon along with all the other bits and bobs cluttering up the room. I've bought some lovely cut flowers to make the place feel fresh again!
Anyway onto the card! This week at Sketch Saturday you could pick any of the past years sketches. I chose week 21.
I have been a bit scared of my Sarah Kays..silly I know, but I have found it really tricky getting a good stamping impression. Well I bit the bullet and coloured her with prismacolor pencils. I used my sewing machine again (I LURVE it!) and it is much improved from my last attempt, so no distressing needed to hide my mistakes!!!
The papers, cardstock, and flowers are all from this months card kit from Sarah's Cards. The crystal brads and charm are from my stash as is the rub-on sentiment.
Well, time to go and wishing you all a very Happy Hogmanay. Me, I shall be in bed before the bells :( Little ones do not sleep late because you brought in the New Year in style!! Anyway I like to feel good on the 1st Jan!
Pop back tomorrow for the launch of the 'Sugar Bowl'!!
Love Judy x

Gorgeous as always Judy, yes I'm like you can't go into the NY untidy.House has to be spick and span, no washing, no ironing. I also open the door "out with the old in with the new". hubby always first foots us too. Wishing you Health, wealth and happiness when it comes. See tomorrow.

I love your card with that adorable Sarah Kay image and great stitching! I stamp my Sarah Kays with a chalk ink then heat set before colouring with pencils - and perfect impressions every time (it was a tip on SCS to use chalk ink with clear stamps). The decs don't come down here until 12th night so I have 6 more days before I can clean house! Have a Happy New Year. hugs, annie x

Happy New Year Judy! Fireworks setting off as I type.. :) We'll be putting our Christmas decors away this week and will start putting up Chinese New Year decors. :)

I think your card is adorable. I haven't made a Sarah Kay card yet. Too many stamps so little time :(

Hi Judy, I love your card and I'm glad you're putting your lovely Christmas present to good use, love the effect of sewing on cards and it really adds to your beautiful design. Don't think you're alone with the SK stamps, I think a lot of people have problems getting them to stamp well including me! My decs will be up until the last possible moment, I love them and they were really late going up this year so I want to enjoy them a bit more LOL. Wishing you a very happy new year Judy, hugs, Chris x

Hi Judy,
I love your card, the colours are beautiful and the sewing looks fab! I got my daughter a sewing machine for Christmas so I might have a dabble on my cards soon! Scary!!
I had to smile when I read about your need to take down your decos, I normally feel like that but for some strange reason I want them to stay up this year!
Hope you and your family have a wonderful New Year!

Gorgeous card - love the colours, and beautifully coloured image. I'm glad I'm not the only one to have problems stamping Sarah Kay images. I shall try Annie's advice and use chalk inks see if that works for me.
hugs Heather xx
