Sugar Bowl - Men

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Sugar Bowl Challenge. This week the challenge is 'Men!' I'm sure this is one we all find a little tricky as we have to put aside the flowers, swirls and pretty colours and papers!!

Here is what the Sugar Bowl says:

"Make a card for the most difficult of the species!
Please make a card, or other craft project, using a Sugar Nellie stamp for a male.
Any age at all, young, old or 'in between'
Now, as most men seem to be a mystery...
So will the prize for this challenge.
One lucky winner, chosen at random, will win a fabulous mystery prize from
Sugar Nellie!
This will be the last Sugar Bowl Challenge as you currently know it...changes are afoot, and will be in place for our next challenge!
Oh, I do love a bit of suspense!"

I decided to use one of the Home Grown boys which are just perfect for making cards for adorable little boys. I also had in my stash a BG 'Recess' pad which had never been used..perfect!

I kept the card pretty simple and just used a bit of stitching to hold it all together and to finish it off! The photo corners are some chipboard shapes I had lying around, which I covered in orange cardstock and sanded them a little to distress them.

I have decorated the inside but forgot to take a photo..hopefully get a chance to edit this in later!!

Not much else to say really...the sentiment is a rub-on and I thought it suited the image perfectly. I could see this happening in my house and cries of 'It wasn't me!'

Have a great day and hope you find time to join us this week. Go check out the other 'sweeties' creations...just stunning and you'll find oodles of inspiration there if you are struggling!

Judy x
Medium: prismas and Sansador, Inkessentails White Ink Pen
Papers: Basic Grey 'Recess'
Tools: sewing machine, sandpaper
Embellishments: rub-on sentiments, chipboard shapes from 7 Gyspsies, brown brads

Fabulous card Judy! So love your colouring on this image, I do recommend Copics, I love mine, I will definitely be buying some more colours soon! I find them so much quicker than my watercolours, they took a bit of getting used to though!
If you email me your snail mail I will send you a few doileys, a friend gets them for me from the cash and carry in Oban!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend, isn't it warm today?

Oh super stunning card, Judy! You've given me that nudge to use my BG Recess pad!!! I don't think I have cracked into mine yet either. I just love this card..your colouring is superb, sweetie...really breathtaking!!!!
I love your rub-on, YAY! Looks like you got on brilliantly with it! If you have a Popsicle stick you can use it or a embossing stylist will work but I highly recommend the BasicGrey Rub on tool...it works fabulously! I do have another tool that I use too it is just a plastic stick of sorts that comes to point and came in a two pack at Micheals here in Canada. I am sure you know this too but you are best to cut out the part you want to rub on from the larger sheet of rub-ons! If you leave it attached to the larger sheet you might have another word or letter stick to your project. If you do have a mishap you can sometimes remove rub-ons with low tack scotch tape or an adhesive remover! Enjoy your rub-ons,hun!!!!
Oh I just love this card...you're amazing!!!
Hugs,t
