Friday Sketchers

How are you all today? Hope your weekend is going well so far. I'm just back from a cycle with my 8 year old and we had lots of fun. I haven't been on a bike for yonks! Must do it again soon!

I made this card using this weeks Friday Sketchers. I had Tilda all coloured just ready to go on a card. I want to thank Rach for the clear and simple explanation of how make Tilda pop out of her nestie frame. The first time I did it I lopped off her head but after checking out Rach's tutorial I got it right! Thanks so much!!
I wanted a vintagey feel to this card so I sewed the edges and then distressed them. The flowers are all distressed with Distress Ink. I also wanted to thank Janny for the insipiration for my sentiment. I saw her using the Tim Holtz tickets in this way a wee while ago and loved it. So thanks so much for the inspiration!! So not much on this card I can claim for my own eh??

What is a girl meant to do with all this fantastic talent out in blogland???..can't ignore it. I think we all bounce ideas off each other in the end! Off to cook tea and have a quiet Sat evening...hope the telly is good!

You card is just stunning Judy. I love the papers you have used and the vintagey feel you have given it. I love the "out of the nestie" look but still haven't mastered it properly. I don't think anyone else but me sees the mistake I make !!! Glad you enjoyed your cycle ride, I can't remember the last time I sat on a bike !!
