Jo this week set us a challenege on Colour Create of Brown , Orange and Green with the extra option of a man's card. Perfect colours for a male card. I love the warmth of the orange to really set the others colours off. Thanks Jo..great challenge!
I decided to use one of my fave WOJ stamps..Oakley on his Scooter and coloured with my prisma pencils. A man's card is the perfect excuse for some distressing to get the rugged look! So I distressed all of the edges!!
For the inside I carried on the same colours and themes.
I hope you can find some time to join us this week. Go check out the rest of the DT cards..all very different but all very inspiring!!
Thanks for taking the time to look and I love receiving all your comments!

My card today is for Just Magnolia, a new challenge blog just started which has wonderful DT talent and does just what it says on the tin! They have a massive and fantsatic prize for this first week so what are you waiting for ???
I have used a new Tilda from the Spring Magnolia kit and coloured her with , wait for it....SU markers!!! The only part I used prismas was for her face as I didn't have that colour in SU markers. Well, these poor babies have benn in a tin since, well, I got them!! So now I am quite pleased with the result. I am slowly enjoy markers more and more and might just make that 'C' purchase sometime!! Better start saving! I don't know why I show the insides..plain and dull..no creativity here!
Anyway gotta go feed the bairns!
Have a great weekend!
I wish you could all win but there can only be 1 ( or 2 in this case, ha ha ha...)

It is time for my first ever blog candy!!!
First reason is to celebrate getting my work published in Craft Stamper. I have been blogging since Oct 2008 and so many exciting things have happened. This being one of the highlights!
Secondly I want to celebrate, my almost 10,000 hits. The counter is getting very close!! I hope by the time I pick a winner my counter will have passed 10,000!
So this seems like a good time to go for it.
I am offering up 2 candies. Now I saw on Camilla's blog a lovely idea which I am going to use. Thanks Camilla!
- To win the candy you must first comment on this post and then put a link on your blog to mine.
- Secondly, you may become a follower of my blog , but that is optional...if you like my work, then please follow and come back and visit!!
- Thirdly in your comment on this post you MUST nominate someone in blogland who has helped or encouraged you in some way. Welcome to this weeks Colour Create where Tab has chosen the colours of brown, beige and cream. What a delicious combination! Makes me think of coffee and cream or a box of chocolates!
The extra option this week is distressing..just up my street :)
I decided this week to colour my Gorjuss Girl with pro-markers..eek..I was a bit scared! I think I managed OK but just with a little bit of bleeding. The paper I have is perfect for my prismas but possibly a bit too thin for promarkers. Anyway ..a note to self..use them more often!
I also had a wee go at hand stitching. First time I have tried this and I love the texture it gives. Will definetely be doing this again and it didn't take half as long as I thought it would!
My apologies for the photo..not brilliant but the light was just pants! Dreary dull and misty!
Will be back midweek when I hope to catch up with y'all.

This image has been coloured on my desk for days and needed used. Like so many other things cluttering my desk. Arghhh! A job for when we get back!
I will be scheduling my card for Colour Create and I will be back to visit you when we return on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Don't forget to enter my blog candy give-away :)
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter break and know that we celebrate a Risen Lord, not one dead in the grave.

Welcome to week 8 of the Sugar Bowl. This week we have another fabulous sketch by Tiets. She is the Queen of sketches!! For this one I've gone all vintage!! This is what the SugarBowl says:
I think most of us love the challenge of a sketch, and it's great to see the different interpretations, which really show your own individual style!
So for this challenge, we would like to see your creations, using this fantastic sketch by Tiets.
As always, you must include a Sugar Nellie stamp.
You may rotate, re size or elongate the sketch, you can even make something other than a card, all that we ask is that we can see that the item has followed the sketch.
I've has some gorgeous 7 Gypsies papers for ages and have finally cut into them! It was really hard getting the colour on my Gorjuss girl to match the papers. I ended up with a blend of brown , pumpkin and deep red. It is as close as I could manage. That is the one downfall with my prismas..sometimes I can't get the deep earthy tones I want in my colouring. I might just save and get some copics one of these days!
A simple inside to carry the theme through.
Go and check out the other takes on the sketch by the other 'Sweeties'...just gorgeous!
Thanks for looking and thank you for all your wonderfully encouraging comments. they are much appreciated.
