Simply Create - Glitz Design

Morning folks!

I have a card for you today before I head off to Edinburgh for a few days to celebrate Hogmanay with my family. We are all very excited to see our family again ( sisters, Mum, Dad etc etc) and also to spend time in our favourite city. Edinburgh is the place Norman and I both went to Uni, met, married and had 2 out of our 3 children. We have fond memories of our time there and love going back!

Today's card is part of my Design team work for Simply Create. Jacqui sent us some beautiful papers to work with from a company that is new to me. They are called Glitz Design. The butterfly is form a Hero Arts set that I bought from Jacqui's store. It is coloured with copics and a little bling added to the body.

Simply Create has now moved to a larger premises on the main street of Alford and is opening on the 5th Jan. I am very excited to go down and have a look....I had better save my pennies for then hadn't I??

The other day I received some fabulous digi images from Karen from Sugar Nellie...the new Simply Adorables!!! How exciting! I am taking them with me to Edinburgh and if I get a spare minute I hope to have a chance to colour them:)  So hopefully I shall have some previews for you very soon!

Thanks for your visit today and can I take this chance to wish you all a very happy and blessed 2011.

This is a recent Sugar Nellie release 'Luv a Latte'

Another Sugar Nellie image called 'Christmas Tree.' This time it is made into a Christmas planner.

Some miniature Word Art Cards from Quixotic Paperie

I think this one is my fav of all...a shabby chic gorjuss girl!

This is 'Elise' from the Sugar Nellie 'Sugar and Spice collection

And finally a card featuring lots of Elisabeth Bell images.

Thanks for bearing with me! Go on it is your turn!

Baby Girl Circular Easel Card - Sugar Nellie

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a happy and enjoyable Christmas time. We had a very nice relaxing family time. I am now however itching to get all the decorations and cards down and get the house back to normal! I will hang on a day or two but I will then be able to resist no longer.

Today I have a very simple little card to show you. This is a circular easel card featuring 'Circle of Love' from Sugar Nellie. I love the flowers and hearts frame around the face. Gorgeous! The image is coloured with copics with just a little prisma pencil for the blended background. I then uses a tiny amount of liquid pearls for the centre of the flowers.

To make this card as I did the Baby Boy one a few weeks ago I followed the tutorial from Norma here. This design features a little hidden panel for writing your message. Very clever! Thank you Norma!

 Thanks for your visit today!

Fairy Tale

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all well in this busy week running up to Christmas. For us as a family it has been the quietest weekend in December, so we have enjoyed getting organised for Christmas, plus enjoying a lovely Family Service at Church on Sunday. We were so glad we had put snow tyres on the car as we wouldn't have made it out of our street otherwise.

Anyway I am showing you today NOT a Christmas card.......not that I have made all mine and am now putting my feet up :) As I mentioned before all the Christmas cards I have made this year were for customers. So now I am showing you some cards that I would have liked to have made earlier in the year :)

This is a stunning 'Simply Sassy' from Set 2, from Sugar Nellie. This beauty is called 'Fairy Tale'. I spent an age colouring her hair....I loved it! The papers are a mix of Cosmo Cricket and Crate Paper. and the sentiment is Hero Arts.

Before I leave you just a couple of quick things to tell you about......
Funky Kits is having a SALE with lots of stamps from Sugar Nellie and CC Designs greatly reduced.
Also to let you know that over at Quixotic Paperie you can now pre-prder the new Kenny K stamps from Whimsy and the new SCACD stamps. Although Elaine is having a wee Christmas break all orders will be dispatched on the 5th Jan.

Hope to be back soon,

Magnolia Christmas

Yeah...Good Morning! A card as promised! This card is for a very loyal customer who requested a Magnolia Christmas card in red. I hope it fits the brief :)
The image is coloured entirely with copics (full list at the bottom of the post) and then I used some leftovers from last years Christmas papers from Magnolia. I then stitched the layers of paper together with my very trusty Janome mini ...served me faithfully for 2 years now! Best christmas present ever!

I then added some poinsettia's from Prima with a black brad in the centre, a die-cut flourish and a little piece of ribbon found in my Christmas box!
Well I going to admit  here on the blogosphere that I have not made on single Christmas card for me to send this year! All the  Christmas cards I have made are for others to send! So relly's and friends have been handmade this year!  Sorry! You just can't do it all! But I did buy some gorgeous cards from Kathy Hare's Etsy shop. They are just beautiful. I am so happy with them. Next best thing to handmade!

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
Dress: R22, R27, R29, R89
Presents, Hair, Socks: E30, E41, E43, E44, E49

Thanks so much for your visit. have a great day!

Ice - Skating Tilda and Edwin

Wow, where are the days going??? So much to do!

Today I am sharing a card with you that has been requested by a very good customer of mine! I was delighted to having a little play with my Magnolia's. So the image is coloured with a mixture of prismas and copics. The prismas are mainly on their coats and on the blended background and the copics are everywhere else. Sorry for the lack of detail. Please ask if you want some more info!

I realise now that I have taken and edited my photos that I forgot to colour their ice-skates. DOH!! I will recitfy that later but for now these photos will just have to stay :)

The papers are the gorgeous Echo Park......I love the cool blues and greys ....just up my street for Christmas cards! The tags are from the die-cut stickers that came with the papers , as are the snowflakes. Nothing wrong with a sticker in moderation ;)  The papers have all been machine stitched together and the ribbon is Bashful Blue from SU!

Thank you all for visiting. My apologies for not getting round to having a look around blog land. Life has been a bit crazy. Tomorrow I am making a Christmas Card with a local church's Senior citizen group, so I am busy prepping for that. This is a first for me , so I am a little nervous...(well a lot actually!). will let you know how it goes!

Simply Sassy # 3 - Blog Hop!!

A very warm welcome! Today the Sugar Nellie DT are doing a blog hop to share with you the fabulous new Simply Sassy Set 3 which is released today over at Funky Kits. You should have hopped from the lovely Sarah's blog.

This set is being sold in pairs..and yes they have boys!!!! I have used  'Fashionista' and 'Laid Back Dude' which come together as a set.

I have lots of photos so will keep the wording fairly short!

I have used copics for colouring the images and the gorgeous GCD 'Ella Blue' papers for the card. I have used inspiration for the card design from one I have seen the wonderful Inge create.

The stamping around the edge of the images is from the Stempelglede 'Grunge' Collection and the sentiment is from the Stempelglede 'Just a Note' collection, both available from Quixotic Paperie. The roses are a sizzix die and the metal photo corner is of course Tim Holtz!

Now next on the hop is the wonderfully talented Elaine. So hop over there to see what she has in store for you!

Thanks for your visit!

Morning everyone.......from the very frozen north! It is now wearing a little thin....when will it ever stop snowing??? It has now been snowing for a week up here in the North East! The snow is well over my wellies and we have been pretty much housebound for the whole time.  Argh!!!

I am going to be positive today and see what the boys and I can achieve...maybe write some Christmas cards, bake scones and I might get a wee chance to tidy my craft table. Right now they are thrilled to have another day ooff school and are snuggled up on the settee watching movies.

Ok onto the card....I had a customer request for this card for some little boys to give to their Dad to say 'Thank you'. The image is of course a Mo Manning and is called 'Brothers'. The image is coloured entirely with copics. The papers are Basic Grey  'Granola'.  The sentiment is from Cats Life Press. The card is very simPle as it is for a man and also the image is quite large :)

Well thank you stopping by and saying 'Hello'. I hope you are all coping with the winter blast wherever you are!

Stay warm!

Luv a Latte - Sugar Nellie

Hiya folks!

This is the first chance I have had on the computer all day! Can you tell I have the 3 boys at home ??? We have a couple of in-service days, but the boys would be off school anyway with the amount of snow we have. Over the top of my wellies! Madness!

My card today is a Simply Sassy from Sugar Nellie called 'Luv a Latte'. A friend requested a card for her niece who is girlie and loves coffee, so I though this would be the perfect image. She is coloured with a mixture of copics and prismas.

Hair is all prismas : Beige, Light Umber , Dark Umber
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 then a touch of Henna pencil for some shading
Boots and Skirt: E41, E43, E44, E47 and a touch of Dark Umber pencil for shading
Skirt: R81, R83, R85 and a touch of black pencil for shading

Thanks for visiting today! Hope to be back soon with another card!

Just a wee heads up...The Sugar Nellie DT are planning a blog hop for Saturday 4th Dec for the release of Simply Sassy 3 :)  Hope to see you there!

Hanglar Christmas Card

Morning everyone! This card must have taken me weeks to finish! It has been lying about and I have been adding bits to it every now and then. I am now happy to say it is finally finished and I can post it on my blog!

The image is coloured with copics and the papers are the lovely new Christmas collection by Echo Park available from Quixotic Paperie I have added some Glitter Glass to the base of the image.

I also got the chance to use my new Grand Oval Spellbinders dies.  I have always been frustrated that the Oval Nestie dies were always too small to incorporate a normal sized image so I invested in the Grand dies. All of the Grand Oval dies fit in the Big Shot apart from the largest one. Hooray!  The only negative thing I have to say about the grand dies is the price! Very pricey!!!

It shall be a while before I can afford to buy the circles or scalloped Grand dies! But I will be saving up!

Thanks for your visit today.

This card shall be up on my Etsy shop later today.

Back soon,
Judy x
