Quixotic Challenge - Ink up an old stamp!!

Good afternoon!! How are we all today?? Good I hope!

Today I have to share with you my card for this weeks Quixotic Challenge. It is Kim's turn to pick the theme and she has asked us to ink up an old stamp. Well, if you are anything like me I have plenty of stamps that have not seen any love!!

I decided to go for a stamp that I bought just when Elaine was opening her shop and I loved the Helz Cuppelditch range. I bought them and then they just got old and dusty at the bottom of a plastic tub......

This one is called Home Sweet Home and is available from Quixotic Paperie.

So yesterday this gorgeous stamp saw the light of day!!

I wanted to go with a shabby chic/ country kind of feel with this card...kind of like a cute country kitchen. Do you see it??? Maybe ? maybe not??

Anyway...I coloured the image with copics and blended the background with a prisma pencil. I used some red gingham paper from Magnolia and distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz tool (which is seriously blunt!!...hence the rips).

I made a couple of lollipop flowers and added a buttons to the centre. I also did a teeny weeny bit of hand stitching to the sentiment and the image. To ruffle the ribbon I machine stitched down the centre and then just pulled the ends to get the scrunched up look. I liked the dimension it added to the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have time to visit the rest of the DT for their gorgeous samples. don't forget if you enter you will be in with a chance of winning the £15 prima goodies!

Catch you all later,
Judy x

Hi Judy I see it!
Beautiful card. The flowers remind me of a compfy sofa. I think its the combination of the green and worn edges. I love the ribbon.

Hi Judy! Definitely my favourite card since I started following your blog - I love it! Such a clever lady... What's going on in Alford on the 30th? We've got friends coming to stay that day but could maybe squeeze in a craft event if it's at the right time!?! xxx
