Mr & Mrs

Morning!! I have a card to share with you today that I made for my Mum. They are going to a wedding of some friends very soon and she requested a card from me! So I didn't really have any wedding images to use,  so I bought this gorgeous stamp from Lily of the Valley. The image is coloured with prismas. I covered the bride's dress with stickles and this is the part that I am not happy with. They were clear when wet but now have a pinky sparkle when dry....so I am a bit disappointed :((

Anyway I am sure my Mum won't notice the pinky tinge or if she does she will think it is intentional! And she will say it is lovely cause that what Mum's do :) And now a wee close up of the flowers:

Thanks for your visit...I am off to do some housework today and get some food in the house....the cupboards are bare!

Back soon,

~Judy

Stamps: Lily of the Valley, Sentiment stamp from Penny Black
Medium: prisma pencils
Papers: GCD 'Ella Blue'
Tools: Tim Holtz Scallops die, Magnolia flourish die, sewing machine
Embellishments: lace, pearl brad, roses, pins, spray,

She'll say it's beautiful because it is! =) I love stickles and think the pinky look is very pretty but can understand why you're not too sure if you expected it to be clear. Stickles come in a multitude of different colours including several that all look clear but each one has a different tinge.
'Diamond' - pinky tint
'Crystal' - bluey/green tint
'Icicle' - multi with larger glittery bits
'Frosted Lace' - slightly opaque white (great for snow)
... and the one probably best suited to what you wanted ...
'Star Dust' - clear with a pretty sparkle.
Hope that helps for next time.

Such a beautiful card Judy. Love the colours and the swirl is fab (must get me one of those dies!)
The pink tinge looks lovely, even if it wasn't quite what you expected!
Bare cupboards? I think that's what happens when you have 3 little boys. I only have the one big boy but my cupboards seem to empty as fast as I fill them.

Love Elaine xx

The pink works beautifully - even if it wasn't what you meant. Serendipity sometimes gets in the way. Love the floral embellishment & those swirly tendrils. The little blue flowers are delightfully matched with the paper & I think that is what I love about pencil colouring - that softness.
I have enough trouble feeding a 6ft 4 10.5 stone husband so he doesn't vanish if he turns sideways - I can't imagine 3 growing boys.......
