Luv a Latte - Sugar Nellie

Hiya folks!

This is the first chance I have had on the computer all day! Can you tell I have the 3 boys at home ??? We have a couple of in-service days, but the boys would be off school anyway with the amount of snow we have. Over the top of my wellies! Madness!

My card today is a Simply Sassy from Sugar Nellie called 'Luv a Latte'. A friend requested a card for her niece who is girlie and loves coffee, so I though this would be the perfect image. She is coloured with a mixture of copics and prismas.

Hair is all prismas : Beige, Light Umber , Dark Umber
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 then a touch of Henna pencil for some shading
Boots and Skirt: E41, E43, E44, E47 and a touch of Dark Umber pencil for shading
Skirt: R81, R83, R85 and a touch of black pencil for shading

Thanks for visiting today! Hope to be back soon with another card!

Just a wee heads up...The Sugar Nellie DT are planning a blog hop for Saturday 4th Dec for the release of Simply Sassy 3 :)  Hope to see you there!

Hanglar Christmas Card

Morning everyone! This card must have taken me weeks to finish! It has been lying about and I have been adding bits to it every now and then. I am now happy to say it is finally finished and I can post it on my blog!

The image is coloured with copics and the papers are the lovely new Christmas collection by Echo Park available from Quixotic Paperie I have added some Glitter Glass to the base of the image.

I also got the chance to use my new Grand Oval Spellbinders dies.  I have always been frustrated that the Oval Nestie dies were always too small to incorporate a normal sized image so I invested in the Grand dies. All of the Grand Oval dies fit in the Big Shot apart from the largest one. Hooray!  The only negative thing I have to say about the grand dies is the price! Very pricey!!!

It shall be a while before I can afford to buy the circles or scalloped Grand dies! But I will be saving up!

Thanks for your visit today.

This card shall be up on my Etsy shop later today.

Back soon,

She is stamped with Memento Ink so I can use a mixture of copics and prismas. I have used mainly copics though have used prismas for her hair and the blended sky background (which looks so faint in this piccie!)

The papers are Memory Box available from Quixotic Paperie.  The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse.

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my craft fair table...I wish you could all have come :)) You are all very sweet and encouraging.

I am running behind on DT makes and Customer orders so I am going to keep this short and sweet!

Thanks for your visit is much appreciated!

Craft Fair

Morning folks!

Sorry to be so quiet last week. I suspect like many of you life is stepping up a notch with things to do! I was busy prepping for a Christmas Fayre at a friend's playgroup. It was lots of fun putting it all together.

I have a few piccies of the table to show you. Some of us were having a little chat over on the Sugar Nellie Facebook page about what people like to buy at craft fairs...and the consenus was confirmed by what sold on my table! I sold quite a few sets of Christmas tags, notebooks and my CAS cards! I only sold 1 of my stamped, coloured and embellished cards!! Not appreciated by the general public :)

Anyway I would love to hear from those of you who do craft fairs and let me know what is popular on your stall!

I am hoping to be at another one in Dunecht this Saturday...busy busy busy!

i hope to be back real soon with a card!

Sugar Nellie - 'Party Princess'

Morning folks....well it is a wet, dreich and windy day what better to do to snuggle up inside. I have a poorly boy at home with me today so I won't be going anywhere!

So I thought I would introduce you to 'Party Princess'. This is another preview of the new Simply Sassy #2 from Sugar Nellie. She looks right peeved she has missed the party altogether!

She is coloured with a mixture of copics and prismas. I have used copics for her skin, hair and bench and prismas for all the rest. I really havn't found a good burgundy range to use in the copics. I f anyone knows the colour numbers that give a great deep red/ burgundy colour I woul love to know!

Papers have been in my collection for yonks and are by 'The Paper Element'. No idea where and when I got them!

Thanks for your visit! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Another Simply sassy from Sugar Nellie - Bella Bunting

Morning folks,

Another Simply Sassy Set #2 sneeky peek from Sugar Nellie to share! This one is called Bella Bunting. Isn't she cute??

She is coloured with pencils, apart from the skin tones where I have used copics. I love the fact that you can give the eys a colour! I coloured the bunting red and then added white spots with an opague ink pen, so it would match the patterned paper.

I then cut out little triangles of the paper to make matching bunting!   I kept the embellishments to a minum as the paper is quite loud!

Apart from doing Simply Sassy samples I am busy creating and preparing for a craft fair I am going to do in less than 2 weeks.  I am making lots of little trinket boxes, gift tags and of course cards. I am worried I will not have enough stock...but I am sure I will get there in the end! And if no-one buys then I will have enough tgas to last me a few years ! LOL!!

Thanks for popping by today! Feel free to say 'Hello'!!

Sugar Nellie - Luv a Latte???

Happy Monday morning to you all!

I hope you all had a fun weekend. Ours has been busy but enjoyable. I had the pleasure of being at one of Kath's classes and made gorgeous table decorations. I will be showing you what I made later in the week. Then we all had fun at a fantastic Firework display at Thainstone.

Now this image, from the Simply Sassy Set #2, I know is going to be very popular when it is released! This onecalled 'Luv a  Latte'. And yes I do 'Luv a Latte'...but this time I changed it into a cup of tea! I had this sentiment that had never been inked before so wanted to use it!  I know there are many 'tea-jenny's' out there as we say in Scotland!

She has been coloured with prisma pencils, apart from the skin which is done with copics.

For her black hair I used the 'Cool Grey' family of pencils and then finally the black pencil to finish off the darkest areas. I did not blend with mineral spirits but took my lightest cool grey pencil to blend in the harsh lines. I will will WILL one day soon, make time to do a little tutorial on colouring with pencils...someone send me a some extra days in the week!

Papers are Bo Bunny that had been left on my desk from a previous card!!

The Simply Sassy Set 2 will be available for pre-order  from Sugar Nellie soon!

Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Simply Create - Vintage Tag

A quickie post today! I just wanted to share with you a vintage tag I made with my latest Simply Create DT kit. It was full of vintagey papers, images and ribbon. A new style for me, especially as there is no image to colour...but it was pretty quick to put together.

So this weekend I am off to Simply Create to take part in one of Kath's classes. I am so looking forward to being a pupil instead of the teacher ! It is going to be fun!

I am busy behind the scenes colouring and making cards with the Simply Sassy set 2 from Sugar Nellie! They are just as fab as the first set and I know they will be up for pre-order soon. if you have a minute today go check out the latest Sugar Nellie DT  member...awesome or what???? Chrissy has even written a book on colouring techniques! I'm in awe and so very excited!

Sugar Nellie - Art from the Heart

Morning folks.... I have another Sugar Nellie to share with you this morning. This image is from the latest release from the Country Cousins range (one of my favourites!). This image is called 'Art from the Heart'.

Isn't she gorgeous?

I coloured the image with prismas and then cut her out. I then stamped a brick wall with a Tim Holtz stamp. She was then mounted on the wall with 3D pads. The papers are all GCD 'Ella Blue' collection. And then the usual stitching, which my cards look bare without!

I hope you are all having a good day!

Back tomorrow with a little vintage from Simply Create.

WOYWD - A late Entry!

I posting this late...well maybe it is in the hope that not many people will see it :)

Now you can truly see my desk the way it usually is!

I sooooooooooooo would love a craft room! This is our dining-room :( Well, I kid myself if I had a room I would be ever so neat and ever so organised.

You might not believe me but I truly swear the rest of my house is immaculate. I can't abide mess and dirt! I clean my bathrooms every day (almost!) , hoover like I have OCD and am polishing my windows like Billy-oh since I bought my new e-cloths from Lakeland ( Get them...they are fab!!).

So why oh why is my craft desk like this???

On one chair is my light tent, pencils are copics are strewn around, some half-finished projects, and lots of papers. I really NEED some time to tidy!

I even have 'Stuff' on every chair! And I have only taken a photo of one. So now you can all say ' At least I am not as messy as her!'

So I have given myself the challenge of next week to show you a clean, tidy and organised desk. Now you can hold me accountable!

OK off to bed! I'm pooped!

Sugar Nellie - Baby Love

Morning Guys!

Thank you so much for all your kind comments yesterday.  They cheered me right up. I feel a whole lot better today...a few nights of getting to bed at a decent time can really help!  The sun is shining today and I feel energised.

So I wanted to share with you a card I made a few days ago. This is a cute new image from Sugar Nellie called 'Baby Love'. This image could definitely be used for a boy or girl.  I chose to make a boy card and followed this great tutorial here to make a circle easel card. Thank you Norma!

The image is coloured with copics and the sentiment is from Aud's Sentiments. A really quick and easy card to make and I am always in need of quick baby cards, so I am also going to make a girlie version of this to have in my box! The pearl brad underneath the sentiment acts like a little pivot so you can swivel the top layer to reveal a panel underneath for you to write your message. Not my idea but Norma's!!

If you haven't already done so, go check out the Sugar Nellie blog this morning for a peek at the new Simply Adorable range coming out very soon! What do ya think? I have had a chance to colour some of these and I can tell you the results are amazing! So dimensional and as Karen says on the blog, the artist has done the hard work for us and has already drawn in where the shading will be.
Have a great day,

Under the weather

I have been quiet as a mouse recently. I have been feeling a little under the weather and have no crafty makes to share!  I just feel the need to curl up in a warm duvet and sleep. So what is the point in posting?? Maybe none....
I thought I would share with you some photos I have taken over the last few weeks. I think Autumn just has a fabulous light. I am not a great photographer but would love to improve my skills. I think the key is to practice, practice, practice ...oh and read the manual!
I would love one day to go to a Photography course...right now there are just not enough hours in day!

Sorry for my despicable amount of blog commenting....again not enough hours in day!

I will hopefully be back with a card really soon!
