Good afternoon and welcome to my little 'ol blog! It is Wednesday so that means it is time for a
Quixotic Challenge. This week Simonne has chosen a photo for your inspiration. I love it ..so perfect for this time of year ! Go check it out on the blog and all the other DT inspiration!
So for my card I chose to pick out the colours, also the polka dots on the cushion and the funky flowers from the screen in the background.
Foe the image I used the latest release from the Greeting Farm called
'Oliver and Amelia -Journey'. It is coloured with prisma pencils. In hindsight I think it might have looked better with copics. I think the card is oozing brightness and vibrancy which copics are definitely more suited for.

The papers are the new
Echo Park 'A Walk in the Park' . For the finishing touches I added some adhesive pearls around the image, a ribbon bow and some pins and finally a Tim Holtz sentiment ticket.

Thanks for stopping by today. I am sorry I am not finding the time to comment on all your lovely blogs so much these days. With the summer holidays it is lovely to spend time with the boys and not on the PC and that is the way it should be. I appreciate each and every one of you who takes the time to leave a comment. I really do!
We have been out in the garden lots, teaching them how to play badminton and helping my youngest ride without stabilisers...it could be a long process! LOL! Today we head for day trip to Glasgow to meet up with the boys Great Grandma who is 87 and has bravely made it to Scotland from deepest darkest Leicester!

Finally I was challenged by
Karen ( Mrs. Sugar Nellie) to show you my desk. I have shyed away from this before now because I do not have a lovely fitted out craft room.....just a dining table !! But maybe many of you out there can relate. I have over the last few months managed to claim part of the boys 'Family room' where they play the Wii and build train tracks. Now I have a little corner of this room which I mainly use for storage.

So the photo above shows you my dining table. On it you can see all my colouring implements...my precious pencils and copics. You can also see a door hanger I am part way through altering and a S
ugar Nellie image I have coloured in pencil....they will be featuring in a finished form on my blog soon...I hope.....I like being at the dining table as it is on open plan with the living room so I am part of the action while I am crafting and hubbie can hear me when I yell for a glass of wine ;)

The next photo shows my storage in the 'Family Room'. I have a lovely chest of drawers in which I have punches, flower, ribbon, inks, and the plastic drawers (photo below) to the left have all my stamp collections! On the top is a set of drawers from Ikea I altered a couple of years ago si is getting abit tatty. It holds buttons, paints, stickles, etc etc The woven basket is my basket of cards...ready to go...

So thanks for sticking with me....
Back soon!
