Just a quick one to share today. Jacqui from Simply Create sent all the DT some fab papers, ribbon, buttons and stamp to play with. I was lucky enough to get some scrummy Echo Park 'Everybody Loves Christmas' papers to play with.
I had a little chance to play last week and created this very simple little card. It took me a while to make as it does not have a stamped image to colour! So out of my normal zone!
So I first of all cut the trees out from the paper and inked the edges with Distress Ink. I then tore 2 pieces of white textured cardstock to create the snowy hillside. I ran the beige cardstock through the cuttlebug and then stitched the pieces together with a wiggly stitching line.
The snowflake is punched from a Martha Stewart punch with a little Carftwork Card Candy dot for the centre.
The ribbon and all papers can be found in Simply Create.
I shall have some more Simply Create DT makes later on in the week!
Thanks for your visit!

I am just back from a lovely weekend away in Edinburgh with my little sisters....well 2 out of 3 of them. It was great having coffees and strolling the streets of my old student haunts. I love Edinbugh!
Anyway I just want to clarify that I am still on the Sugar Nellie DT but just am not being part of the Sugar Bowl Challenge blog. I am just giving myslef a few less deadlines to meet. So you WILL still be seeing Sugar Nellie creations here on my blog!
This stamp is called 'Leave the Light On' ....and can be used for so many occasions. I have coloured her with prisma pencils with soft blues and then given her some striking black hair.
The papers are GCD studio and the flower is made with retro flower punches and has then been given the distress paint treatment! The sentiment is from a Waltzing Mouse set.
I will be popping these cards for sale in my Etsy shop later on in the day.
Our kids are off today for a Bank Holiday so we are having a quiet morning in our PJ's then off to go get some shopping and jobs done in the afternoon.
Catch up with you all soon!

You will have seen sadly that I do not have a Sugar Bowl card to share with you today. I have with a heavy heart decided to step down. Sometimes you need to take a step back and reassess your commitments and responsibilities. So what I need right now is a few less deadlines to meet!
Right back at the beginning of blogging Gayle picked me as one of her 'sweeties', so this challenge has been an integral part of my crafting life! I will miss them all! Thank you Gayle for everything over the past year and a half!
So go on take a look at the stunning cards the girls have made this week. And not to mention the fabulous prize of the whole new set of 'Simply Sassy' images and some nestabilities! Sugar Nellie don't do things by half!
But I do have something that I thought I would show you. This is a custom order for a journal from my Folksy shop. The customer chose the colours and the embellishments and I just put it all together!
The image is 'Searching' from Sugar Nellie. She is coloured with prisma pencils with glitter added for the background. The lettering is from an Stampin Up! alphabet set which I hardly use but it was just the perfect size for the journal.
I have now relisted this journal, so it is available for sale again.
So, recently I have been a pretty awful blogger and have just not had the time to come by and say 'Hi'. So I am hoping that with juggling a few things around that I will find time to come by and say 'Hello' once again!

Morning guys! Boy, I have a lot to show you this week. So unlike me blogging every day! It won't last I tell ya!
Anyway I wanted to show you the cards that we made at my class in Simply Create on Saturday afternoon. It was a fabulous bunch of ladies, many of whom it was their first time working with prisma pencils and they were naturals!! They all did such a fabulous job!Doing classes is such a great way to get out and meet fellow crafters...can be quite lonely colouring away on your own!
Anyway we focused this class on boy cards! So I choose to work with Sugar Nellie Manga images, and all the papers are Bo Bunny available from Simply Create.
The first card uses 'Scooter Boy' and the second is 'Rock Idol'
Thanks for your visit!
Gotta run...got a meeting this morning.....and I'm running late!
Catch ya soon!

Now you may have seen this little number previewed on the Sugar Nellie blog! It seems a lot of you are liking Krista's work!! A new artist being revealed is always very exciting. Not long now till you get a chance to get hold of them yourselves.
I have to say I love colouring this girl! She has such a dreamy look and those eyes are just stunning!
The image is coloured with pencils, though I have used copics for skin. The papers are Memory Box 'Rhubarb Tart' available from Quixotic Paperie. I punched a few flowers to place around her, a few slivers of green paper for grass and a little dew drop for the centre of the flower and voila!
I kept the card simple so the image is your focal point! A sentiment can always be added later or put on the inside.
So keep you eyes peeled on the Sugar Nellie blog for lots of DT samples and when you will be able to buy these for youselves soon!!
Thanks again for stopping by to say hi!
Hi guys...the team here at Quixotic Paperie have a little special treat for you today. We are doing a little Paper Makeup Stamps hop. This is a little different from a normal hop as you can hop in any order you like! There is no specific order. Listed below is a full list of participants, so just click on a link to take you to that person's blog!
*** THE LIST OF PARTICIPANTS! ***
- Katie Cotton – Christi Thorsen - Tangii Crain - Lisa Kind - Randee Elsing - Shaela Odd -
- Tina Hale - Andrea Vernagus - Anita Hovey - Bonnie Sharp - Danni Bindel - Dawn Barrett - -
- Ginger Schwerin - Lisa McKinney - Maria Gurnsey - Michelle Van Patten - Simonne Clay - Stephanie Zito -
I coloured the very adorable Carter the Dino Fairy. He is coloured with prisma pencils. Now I have never coloured a dinosaur before so I have to confess I had a quick peek at some of my boys Dinosaur books. I deliberately wanted to keep the look fairly textured so I did not blend with sansador. I just used a variety of greens to get the shading...a lot of it was just experimenting till I was happy with the result.
I used a plain wooden door hanger...painted it with white acrylic paint then covered it with MME 'Oh La La for Him' papers, added some twine and a button and finally some alpha stickers to finish!
Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your visit!

Just flying past this morning as I have a lot to do today, not least take a class at Simply Create this afternoon! I will share what we made on Monday. As always it will be full of great girls and great fun!
I have been working on this wooden box in the background for quite a few days now. The little girl in question who is receiving it had her first birthday last week and it was supposed to be ready for then...but alas other things came in and took priority!
So this is very similiar to the keepsake box that I did for boys which is in my Etsy shop. This time it is painted pink underneath! I made my very first grungepaper rose and used Tim Holtz metal photo corners. There is a little Hero Arts flower stamping around the front and sides.
The image is coloured with prisma pencils and her name is added with wooded letter tiles.
This is going into my shops as a template for anyone who wishes a keepsake box for themsleves or as a gift. Perfect gift idea with Christmas coming up!
I do hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend!

I coloured her with copics and then added plenty of Glamour Dust! I used prisma pencils for the shading the border around her. The papers I used are Cosmo Cricket 'Mitten Weather' and are available from Quixotic Paperie. I machine stitched most of the papers, added a little gingham ribbon and a little die-cut tag with some alpha stickers!
The sketch is from last weeks' Mojo Monday.
I hope you are getting very excited about the release of Simply Sassy from Sugar Nellie. I know it won't be long until pre-order can begin! I have been a very lucky girl and have had the chance to start colouring some of these new images ....and let me tell you won't be disappointed. They are just a little funkier from what we are all used to. Those eyes are to die for :)))
Thanks for your visit today! All your comments are much appreciated.
I am off to stalk the postie as I KNOW my first Simply Create DT pack is due to arrive today!! Watch this space!
Hope you are well on this wet and windy day. Boy, it is feeling like Autumn has truly arrived .....leaves swirling around, cozy jammies and slippers on and dark evenings!
This week we have a challenge that will transport you right back to those summer days. The Quixotic Challenge is 'Let Your Garden Grow' (use flowers, leaves anything that interprets the outdoors)
For my card I have gone back through my stamp collection from Quxiotic Paperie and picked one of the original Miss Anya's. I do love this set and it will always remain in my collection.
She is coloured with prisma pencils . Creates a lovely soft look for her. The papers are Memory Box - Gossamer which will be back in stock really soon. I chose to use only one piece of the paper as it was so pretty I didn't want to cover it up. I used some flowers fom stash and some organza ribbon to tie a little knot and then finished it off with some Jenni Bowlin Pins. Again I didn't include a sentiment as I didn't want to cover up anymore of the gorgeous paper!
Finally before I leave I just wanted to let you know that Elaine now has on pre-order a gorgeous new stamp from SCACD. This stamp will be here in the next couple of weeks.
OK...back tomorrow with a little card for Sugar Nellie :)
Thanks for your visit today!
Today's card will up for sale on Etsy and Folksy later!

I have a new toy to play with...it is the Quickutz Letterpress. I have had my eye on it for ages !!!
I love love love what I do with creating stamped, coloured and embellished cards...but a little bit inside of me craves for white space !! I am a closet clean and simple fan.....very closet!
I also wanted to create a different line in my online Etsy shop. When Peter goes to school I would love to make it into a little thriving business.......a girl can dream you know!! So thinking ahead I wanted to create a line that I can make larger quantites off. So I will NOT be stopping doing what I do...but in my quieter moments I might just be seen creating something with my new Letterpress.
It is fun to do but quite messy...I will probably get quicker and tidier with practice!
So enough waffle ...here is my first attempt!!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Letterpress it is like embossing but with ink!
This card is for sale here!
I wish you all a very happy Monday :)

Hey all! Hope you are enjoying your weekend? This weekend we are saying goodbye to some very dear friends who are moving down south to Oxford. A whole 9- 10 hours drive for us :(( We will miss them dearly...
Whty are you up to this weekend?
I just popped on here to tell you that I was delighted to have a very small part in this months Craft Stamper.....maybe you spotted it?? Or maybe not???
Katy Fox (the editor) sent me some fab stamps called 'Fishy Philosophy' from Unity Stamp Company to play with for the Stamping Contrast feature.
So I decided to get out of my comfort zone and create a scrapbook page and I also made and aperture card. If I had more hours in a day I would love to do more scrapbbooking...but realistically I just can't!
Here are a couple of sneeky peeks....above and below!
Make sure you grab a copy this month as always there are some fab tutorials and wonderful inspiration.....there is always so much that I want to try after getting each months edition.
Back soon with a card!

Morning my lovelies!!
How are we all today? It is time once again for another Sugar Bowl Challenge and this week it is little old me who has drawn the sketch. Now my sketches will always be simple as I am just getting to grips with how to do them on Photoshop. And this time the extr option is BUTTONS!
Anyway I hope you have time to join us because this time the prize for the challenge is pretty amazing.
Now that is one amazing prize!
Right onto the card! Mmmm.. I was drawn once again to the Autumn Kit (which is still on offer by the way!!!).....if I don't use it now it will not see the light of day for another year!! This time I coloured the little boy and he is coloured with a mixture of prismas and copics. However I alwasy colour the blue backgroudn with prismas and always do skin with copics! The little habits we get into :)
The papers are new ones from Basic Grey 'Pyrus' (available from Quixotic Paperie)..so yummy and full of wonderful rich warm tones and colours. The sentiment is from a Studio 490 set. And then it is finished with a little twill tape, buttons and of course some stitching! Before I go I wanted ask you...would you like to become a Sugar Bowl Sweetie??? Well if you would Gayle is looking for some new sweeties to join us! You can read all about it here.
Thanks for stopping by and all your lovely comments,

I hope life is treating you well....up here in the NE of Scotland we have certainly felt the chill of Autumn. I just want to go browsing online and get some chunky cardigans, boots and tights!!
I am back today with a card for Quixotic Challenges. This week we have a challenge for us from Kim Costello and we have to 'Move it, Move it! ~ have something on your project that moves in some way... a tag you pull, a flap, slider card, spinner card, double slider card, flower pot pocket or even a shaker card...'
So for my card this week I have kept it fairly simple as I was running out of time...always last minute.com for me! I have included a pull out tag for my 'movable' component.
I used the fabulous Memory Box 6 x 6 papers 'Gossamer' and the stunning image from Belles and Whistles 'Tania Baking'. She is coloured with prismas and blended with mineral spirits. All my papers are machine stitched and the flowers are all from my stash. I was inspired by Tabs beautiful arrangements she creates on her cards. Mine is a mere imitation!!
The handle on the pull out tag is from Tim Holtz and I created the sentiment with a few teeny tiny alphabet stickers.
Before I leave you all in peace I just wanted to let you know about the gorgeous new goodies now available at Quixotic Paperie.
- Echo Park Christmas Collection Kits - Everybody Loves Christmas and Merry Christmas
- Crate Paper 6x6 Pads - Restoration, Snow Day, School Spirit

Before I head off and get some housework done, myslef and the boys had some fun with the camera on the schoolwalk this morning. It was really misty, so I thought it would be nice to get some atmospheric photos.
Lots of the bushes had spiderwebs all glistening in the mist.
This is the threesome on their way to school. And finally some berry-laden Rowan trees. It is only a 5 minute walk to school but it is amazing what beauty there is in God's wonderful creation.
Thanks for stopping by!
