Here is a wee something I made earlier. Not a card! But I do LOVE making altered boxes and other bits and pieces!
Before I tell you a little more about it I want to thank you ALL who left a comment on my last post. You girls are so encouraging. It was great to hear some tips about how some of you do make Craft Fairs work. And I know a lot of you have had much the same experiences as me. I think it is fair to say that handmade items are generally not valued outside our own little craft world.
For now I am going to be sticking with Etsy!
To make this box I first painted it with blue acrylic paint. Then once it is dry I added a layer of PVA glue. Whilst this is still wet I then add a layer of white acrylic paint. this then dries to give the fabulous crackle effect. I then added the Tim Holtz photo corners and the flowers arrangement..
Thank you all again for you support! You know how to cheer a girl up :)

Hi Judy
just commenting on your previous post. I have done craft fairs, sweated over getting loads of things done, laid it all out, priced it reasonably and was it worth it? NO not at all. So I Know just how you feel. Its so demoralising. Even tough I will say they don't know what you are missing with your fantastic work I know that doesn't really help.
I wish I could offer you some advice

Love the shabby chic effect you have on this & those corners are a lovely detail with the clasp. The floral spray is striking against the blue & white & I love the pearl/spacer detail on theat blue flower.

Stunning Judy xx
What a beautiful box! I have done the crackle effect many times, but never with big streaks like this - most effective! I love the colour scheme and the flowers, too. This is a box to treasure.
